About Us
How We Evolved
CathSam School, with its appropriate Motto “A Firm Foundation”, was established as a Kindergarten center to cater for the educational needs of the dwellers in Umoja Innercore and its environs.
It was officially opened by Mr. & Mrs. Jeremiah Kebuthu, the parents to the director of the school at a colorful function that included tree planting sessions held on 19 December 1998 and attended by friends and family members. Thereafter, it had its first intake of pupils in January 1999.
Since then, the school has really expanded. It currently has two campuses.
The Main School Campus is located at Umoja Innercore Nairobi along Moi Drive on spacious and beautiful premises and in an environment conducive for effective learning. The Kamulu School Campus is located at Acre Tano Area of Kamulu along Kangundo Road, which offers classes from Baby Care to Grade 6 as well as Junior School Facilities. Boarding facilities are available at our Kamulu campus only, from Grade 5 upwards.

Sports day:
Our sporting activities are climaxed during second term when we hold our all-inclusive sports day. Learners, their parents, teachers and visitors participate in this very exciting event where all are expected to display their might.
Bursary fund walk:
Each year during the third term, the school organizes a Bursary Fund Walk to supplement the schools effort of supporting the less privileged learners continue with their education.
Annual concert & graduation ceremony:
A colourful Annual Concert & Graduation Ceremony is held every year for all learners who have successfully completed our very extensive Pre-school programme and the approved Primary and Secondary School Courses.
Thanksgiving ceremony:
Every first of the year, the school holds a thanksgiving ceremony to give thanks to the Almighty God for His goodness and mercy towards the candidates, all the learners and the entire school during the previous year!
